Wiki ankle arthrotomies (3 separate incisions)

Supine position:
My doc made an anterolateral incision and performed arthrotomy with loose body removal (sent to pathology) and spur excisions.

An additional incision was made over the medial/anteromedial corner and performed synovectomy and another loose body removal (synovial chondromatosis).

Patient flipped to prone position:
Doc made a posteriomedial incision and arthrotomy with another large loose body removed (sent to path), synovial lining removed in it's entirety as well as calcaneal and distal tibia spur excisions.

Doc wants to code 27620 x 2 and 27625. NCCI Edits bundle the 2 codes and MUE for 27620 is only 1 unit.

Please advise w/your expertise.

You will not be paid for 27620 x 2....the ankle is not broken into compartments you only have one ankle joint (per side) and 27620 explores,debrides,LBR for the whole joint

and 27625 is included in 27620, you are correct no 27625
