I have a physician, family practice that wants to bill G0438 AND 99396, shouldn't it be just G0438 for the Medicare patient? Please advise. Thanks!

PE Coding

If it is medicare or medicare advantage plans you should bill G code. If it is a commercial insurance then the other codes will be payable. :)

Hope this helps

What did the provider actually do? Did he/she perform the AWV and a physical? They are two completely different services.

99396 is a non covered service for Medicare pts as the others have mentioned.
