Dx: L Shoulder Greater Tuberosity FX

Procedure:
1. Shoulder arthroscopically assisted open reduction and internal fixation of greater tuberosity.
2. L Shoulder Biceps Tenotomy
3. L Shoulder Arthroscopic acromioplasty

Physician wants: 23630-LT, 29823-59, 29826-59

The op report also talks about the removal of several bone fragments.

was the biceps tendon debrided after the tenotomy? If so you are looking at 29822. 29826 can't be reported with an opne code unless you have another scope procedure. Tricky but you may have 29822 or 29823 for biceps tenotomy + acromioplasty..
