Trying to code an ALIF with anterior discectomy. The ALIF code 22558 includes minimal discectomy but he is doing a complete discectomy. Does anyone have the correct cpt code for the anterior lumbar discectomy?
I am having trouble getting the 64999 paid by insurance carriers for the "ANTERIOR WIDE LUMBAR DISCECTOMY". Are there any suggestions on this because even with dictation it is a hit or miss.
Would it be more appropriate to use the 22899 since it is for unlisted spine procedures? I am at a loss. Please advise or help... Thank you
