A patient with severe PVD and stent/atherecomies done in the Fem/Pop & Tibial/Peroneal Territories. He then did a cut down at the Anterior tibial artery and did a selective steroids dorsalis pedis arterograms. He then closed with sutures.

I am not sure if I can give him a cut down (36625) and angio on this...

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Tibial cutdown

If you look at the descriptor for 36625, it states arterial catheterization for sampling, monitoring or transfusion (percutaneous 36620, cutdown 36625). If the cutdown was not performed for any of those three purposes, I wouldn't bill it.
