When I bought my code books for this year, I bought Vitalsource's e-books to save money. I now recognize that I made a huge mistake. The website works horribly on both my browsers--I run Firefox and Brave in a Linux distro. I have never visited a website this slow. Are there any particular browser settings--or other browsers, for that matter--that I should change to improve the Vitalsource website's performance? Or do I have to use Google Chrome?
Certainly, after this year I'll never make this mistake again. I'll stop being a cheapskate and get the paper books. They're easier to use anyway. (Why don't I get them now? I would do that--spending the couple hundred dollars on the paper books--only as an absolute last resort, because I'm currently unemployed. I have enough money to survive and to buy the textbooks again if I had to; I just need to save it for my upcoming wedding expenses. I'm getting married next spring.)
