I am in Wisconsin and researching how to bill AODA services. We have a BSW social worker (one step under a CSW) and we are interesting in potentially using her to do some AODA counseling services. So far I have determined Medicaid pays this and Medicare doesn't. I have yet to see about commercial payers.
I am looking for any information you may have on this including:
• Codes billed
• Payers who actually pay
• Payers who won't pay
• Documentation for these services (I find HXXXX codes)
• Any info you have on a BSW billing in state of WI
I would appreciate any and all help I can get on this subject. Any links, guidance, anything at all.
