The doctor did an Aortic Valve replacement but he had to do a expansion of the Aortic Root. So I would code 33405 but not sure what to do about the expansion of Aortic Root, maybe 33860??
The valve was seated and tied in place. We proceeded to close the aorta with 24-mm hemasheild graft. That inferior edge of the graft was tied, and then running 4-0 Prolene with a pledget on the aortic side was used to approximate the aorta to anterior surface of the graft. This was then run on both sides of the aorta with felt strips on the aortic side. An additional suture was started at the opposite end and brought up on each side of the graft which was used as an extension of the aorta, thus WIDENING the entire region. We tied each of the sutures and de-aired the aorta etc....
