Is it necessary to append a modifier to a drug vaccination administration code (G0009)? I am learning and preparing for my exam and this is something that I came across in a claim denial. Please shed some light on this for me. Thank you.
 
I assume this is for Medicare? What other codes are being billed? Are you asking strictly about the pneumococcal vaccine?
