Can anyone tell me how to code for application of a cast and casting material together, to recieve payment? I know it is included in the intial E/M. I am looking for this when it is the patients additional casting!

The replacement cast is what I am referring to, as far as coding. My doc does assume all fracture care. There was no specific body part for casting! just new at the game and trying to obtain payment for things denied and written off in the past.

depends....if you billed fracture care you may bill for the cast materials when put back on after inspection etc. If it is just csting for limiting mobility you can bill the application which is 29000 series but the cast materials is for hcpcs and they are q codes
