I bill for a Maternal fetal medicine doctor. When is it ok to bill an o/v along with it? Also is it ok to apply the copay towards the ultrasound?

Are you asking if you can bill an E/M with an US? If so, it would depend and be based on a case-by-case basis. Obviously there would need to be an office visit or some sort of eval & management between the patient and the provider.

You can't apply a copay to an US unless the payer says differently. Personally, I've never heard of any payer assigning copays like that. Normally you're dealing with coinsurance and/or deductibles when it comes to procedures.
