Hello all, I'm looking for a non-paid remote or in office apprenticeship to gain experience in medical billing and coding. I have 20 years of experience as a nurse and want to change careers. I have the CPCA certification. Does anyone know of any leads on facilities or doctor offices in the New Kent, Richmond or Williamsburg, VA area that have apprenticeship opportunities? Looking forward to all responses. Thanks for your assistance in advance.

Why don't you look into clinical document specialist, they want nurses for clinical documentation because of their nursing experience.
