I'm reviewing charts for our pediatric Endocrine doc. One thing I did not take into account was Glucose Logs. She has patients that regularly send her glucose logs and then when she sees them for a face-to-face visit she reviews 2 - 3 months of the logs. IF she documents review of the logs and a summary of their contents in that day's note - would you count this as data and give her credit in a review? I'm on the fence. I was only giving her credit as reviewing labs not as an outside record. Thoughts?

Thanks

Review of old records

I do not think I would give credit for review of old records. This is really rather current ... i.e. since the last visit.

Hope that helps.
