Does anyone know if it is ok to code the arterial catheterization for monitoring (36620) along with an aortic valve repair (33405) and CABG
(33533)? I am thinking that it is included in the primary procedures but cannot locate anything to confirm this. I am having a hard time reading the op note as the physician is not specific as to who actually placed the catheter. It is as follows:
"....our service inserted a right femoral artery line to monitor his pressure and to be prepared for IABP insertion if needed."
I'm not sure who "our service" is or if we can even bill for it. Any ideas???
