I have a couple of questions that I need explained in laymans terms about arterial ultrasounds please.....

1. What exactly are the 1-2 levels that codes 93922 &93923 are talking about? Are these the ABI's or waveforms or what?

2. As far as Duplex scans during these, is this in correlation with if stenosis or plaque is documented? Is just stating that there are triphasic waveforms, no arterial insufficiency a duplex scan?


Any information that someone can give me besides what is in the book would be greatly appreciated.
