Which would be the correct code for an arteriovenous anastomosis procedure where the doctor does an end-to-end anastomosis. The op note reads that the surgeon dissected the artery and the vein and connected them end-to-end. I coded it with 36821 (direct) but was told it should be 36825 (creation of arteriosvenous fistula other than direct arteriovenous anastomosis; autogenous graft.) any help would be appreciated.
