We have an ASC provider insisting they should be receiving 100% of the allowance or billed charge for add on codes in this setting. We have been cutting them by 50% for the ASC facility. Does anyone have any insight? The CMS website has been no help.

Why are you cutting it in half? The add on codes are already reduced in the fee schedule and the POS indicating ASC will allow the correct reimbursement automatically.

Well you can only get as much as what the fee schedule for the payer shows. I still am confused by what you state with cutting the fee by 50%. I am missing something
