Hello,
My office owns their own ASC for our providers use. They occasionally have outside providers come in to do a joint case in our ASC. When billing the facility claim out ASC TIN and NPI are reported on the bill but do we have to enter each individual provider per CPT code on the claim? Would you ever report multiple providers on a single ASC facility claim? I understood the facility claim was for all services/materials etc. in the facility for that case and billed by the facility as an entity, but how do you report the provider of service when multiple providers are involved?
Currently when billing on a HCFA we have the ASC NPI info in boxes 32 and 33, and our MD is reported in boxes 31 and 24J of each code. On a UB form we have the facility NPI in box 56 and the MD NPI info in boxes 76 and 77.
I am trying to work with our admin to ensure this is accurate, as we are going to be doing more cases like this in the near future. Appreciate any help!
