I am looking for any insight on Asc coding training. I have the AAPC sutdy guide for ASC coding but I need something more indepth . Are there any other books or training courses out there ?

There isn't anything recent. Lolita Jones RHIA, CCS, had published some ASC specialty books back in the day. However! The key to understanding ASC coding, is understanding the revenue system. I always recommend reading Medicare Claims Processing Manual: Chapter 14. It will give you some insight on payment indicators. You also want to learn a little bit more on revenue code assignment for when you use UB-04 claims (typically use 490, 274, 278). BeckerASC has some great coding articles. Really though, coding is coding through out all care settings (exception of CPT modifiers!). It is the reimbursement methods that make things complex.
