aspiration of maxilla abscess

Patient presents with small abscess in area of previous dental implant.

procedure: aspiration of abscess of right maxilla abscess

A 22 gauge needle was inserted at the point of greatest fluctuance and purulent fluid, about .25 cc's was obtained.

Can anyone help me with the CPT for this procedure?

i think the code should be 41800, drainage of abscess from dentoalveolar structures.

No . . we have to give 10160(Punture aspiration)

10160 is a skin code. Since the aspiration was of the maxilla, you would be correct in using the 41800.
