Hey,

I got a phone call to take a assessment test for a hospital, before I can do an interview for a coding position. Any tips on what to study, so I can be ready for the assessment test on Thursday? Has anyone else had to take an assessment test before they were allowed to interview for a coding position?

Good luck on your assessment Aleisha, but yes, usually for coder positions they want to assess your coding skills. Most test are 30-50 usually difficult or tricky questions. Your interviewer should be able to help you what to focus on. Since it's a hospital coder you would study your ICD-10 and procedure codes.
