I am looking at taking on a client for behavioral health billing, who was told from his old biller that he could not take assignment of benefits because he was out of network. So I'm scratching my head-I've never had to deal with this before and am unsure how to proceed.
I thought (maybe incorrectly) that if the patient signs an assignment of benefits that network/out of network wouldn't matter.
Am I right to assume this?
