Wiki Assist or not with Adhesions/Hysterectomy

I have a Total abdominal hysterectomy, bilateral salpingo-ophrectomy, and my surgeon did the Adhesion (CPT 44005) and the OBGYN did the total Hysterectomy. I had recently asked (in an in person forum)the question of whether something like this would be assist with 58150 or can I bill separately 44005? I was told I can bill it because they are not the same type of surgeon. I have been told before that we would normally not bill 44005 if considered inclusive with primary procedure and just give general surgeon the 58150,80?

Hi, we see this situation fairly often. The lysis can be billed by the gen surgeon. As the gen surgeon didn't assist with the hysterectomy, 58150-80 is not applicable.
