I have an MD (Dr. B) who was the assistant for a hysterectomy. The primary provider (Dr. A) is not part of our clinic. The patient came back to see Dr. B for her post-op care. My question is, would the code for the post-op visit done by Dr. B be 99024? I was a little confused because the primary MD was not associated with the same medical group as the assistant.
Sorry if this is confusing, but any help would be greatly appreciated!
