What are you looking for in the primary surgeon's operative report to justify billing out for an assistant surgeon (i.e. cesarean section, hysterectomy, etc.)? There is conflicting information between CMS and ACOG!! Any help is much appreciated!

Well, they *should* be documenting why the assistant was necessary, what the assistant did, etc. In reality, I rarely see good documentation of this.
