Hi,
I have recently come across a chart in which the patient is admitted with shortness of breath. The physician stated the patient has asthma exacerabation. The patient has documented history of COPD. The physician did not state COPD is in exacerabated state. Do we give asthma exacerbation as PDX or anything else because if we go by index there is something else. I have attached a screenshot of ICD 10 CM index entries, please have a look at it.
Thanks,
