Hello,

The pulmonary physician that I am coding and billing for is now doing at home sleep studies. The physician owns the equipment that he is using, it is not owned by the hospital. We are billing globally, as he owns the equipment. My question is, which date would we bill for? Would it be the day the patient comes in and gets the equipment, or do we bill for the day of the reading? Please respond ASAP! Thanks in advance!

If you bill on the same day as an E&M, is most likely will no be paid for, bill on the date of return when most of the data is captured
