I need your help, please.
I wonder what is the correct Dx code for Atrophic vaginitis during postpartum visits. My patients are 20-35 years old and I feel assigning Postmenopausal atrophic vaginitis N95.2 is not appropriate because these patients are not menopausal. But that's what the Index is giving me. Should I assign Other specified inflammation of vagina N76.89?
Here is just one of the cases when pt has both conditions. MD states in A/P: 1. Acute vaginitis and 2. Atrophic vaginitis.
For Acute V= N76.0 but Atrophic Vaginitis is in question.
