I have researched this and can not find supporting documentation that the 99464 can be reported if the Pediatricain is called STAT to report to the delivery room and the baby is already born 2 minutes prior. Thick meconium is suctioned the baby was assessed, Apgar assigned and so forth is documented as well.
My question is does the request for attendance have to be made prior to the birth and the Pediatcian needs to be physically present during the precise moment of the delivery to support reporting the 99464?
Any supporting documentation guidance would be deeply appreciated as the Physcians are questioning this as well.
