If a resident performs a procedure on day one of a hospital stay without an attending present, and an attending rounds on the patient the following day, would the attending bill an inpatient daily care code or the procedure code with the modifier for after care only?

The attending would only be able to code for the services that he personally performed at his face-to-face visit the subsequent day. He would not be able to bill for a procedure that he did not perform.
