Hi! Need help on reprogramming of cochlear implants for CPT 92602 and 92604 when done bilaterally. MUE edit of 1unit allowed a day on these codes and no 50, LT, RT, modifiers allowed. We have tried with a XU and 22 mod but still denying. Is there any way around this or are we going to have to just rely on rembursment for 1unit or should our collections dept appeal? Has anyone had any luck? Thanks. :D
 
Did you ever get this question answered? I’m having the same problem. I have tried all this scenarios with BCBS and still getting denied.
