Hi All,

Need your advise on partial services denied due to authorization. What is the best practice on denial calls.

If the practice made an error in not obtaining the authorization, I would write off due to their error. If this was an emergency, or practice called insurance and told no auth needed, or patient had a retroactive change to insurance, or some other justifiable reason for not obtaining auth, I would then appeal with the carrier.
