Doc goes to Nursing home @ the request of staff. Pt has toes that are auto amputating and malodorous. MD comes in and looks at the toe. Decision is made to remove what is left ( hanging by a tendon). Code 28810 talks about going thru bone, however bone is already gone. He takes a scalpel blade and cuts the tendon w/o complications. What code should I use. Thanks in advance.
