Wiki Auto/Personal Injury Billing

Does anyone know of a site that will provide us with the necessary information on the process of Auto/Peronal Injury billing. My understanding is that we are not to bill the patients Private Health insurance and the patient should be responsible for any bills regarding the auto/personal injury visits, this would also include Medicaid/medicare receipeints.
Any hlep would be appreciated. thank you.

It may depend on your state or the insurance. We always billed the PHI first and let them deny and then submitted the bill to the patient. You should use all applicable codes including the E codes and the date of the accident. But again it may be different with your state.
