What about the non-covered HIPAA entities that are not required to switch to ICD-10? How is your practice planning on tackling this issue? Even if they do switch I am sure there will be some that are behind the Oct 1st, 2014 deadline. I can see there being huge issues with delays in payments because of this. We are a large hospital based radiologist group and process thousands of claims a day. It would be very difficult as a coder to track each insurance for each patient when you are already dealing with the struggles of completely new codes.

Those of you that have formed an ICD-10 project team do you have a plan of action for this?
