Pt has a AV PACER (dual) Our dr changed the battery to a single lead and is capping off one lead. Wht would I could? Thanks

Bill for what was placed in this case a single generator change code. You can not code for capping a lead. So if the pt ended up with a just a single generator attached to an existing lead=33227.

The above are rarely used codes. They are used when the EP only places the generator to existing leads. Not when a generator has been removed and replaced the same day.
For example EP refers a pt to a surgeon to implant lead (s) only that EP was unable to due. The surgeon places the leads and later (not the same day) the EP places the generator and attaches it to the leads the surg placed.
