This drug is usually adminstered for MS patients. Does anyone know the admistration code for IM injection? The practice is stating to use 96401 but I am not sure and can't find any research stating this. I am not sure if it should be this admin code or 96372?

We have a patient who is a resident of one of our assisted living facilities. She gets weekly injections of Avonex for MS. Currently the practice bills code Q3025 with code 96372 to medicare. Medicare is denying Q3025 for patient payment limitations apply for this service. However when we spoke to medicare they stated it denied because Q3025 was excluded from self administered drug list. 9/3/2013. Has anyone had any issues with this and what was your resolution?
