Can you bill a G0439 for an annual well visit in a nursing home? I'm being told from some you can, but I am getting a denial. Is there a modifier you are supposed to use? Thank you in advance
 
Yes Medicare AWV (G0439) can be billed if provider does the AWV in a skilled nursing facility or home visit as long as patient has Medicare Part B coverage and the POS needs to correspond to the correct location. We have providers that bill AWV when they see their patients at the nursing home and we don't use any modifiers unless it was done as a telehealth visit or modifier GA if it was done too early and patient signed ABN for G0439. What was the POS that you used?
