Can an AWV be billed as incident to? I'm new to family practice billing and I can't find an answer to this on my internet searches.

AWV as extra visit

Hello There,

Yes the AWV can be billed and another Eval Mmgt code. However there needs to be diagnosis codes and notations from doctor to link to each CPT. AWV must use the proper Z diagnostic code. Then whatever other illness the patient is suffering with that date of visit checked on. The documentation must use proper adjectives and words to be billable in conjunction with patient;s health.
