How long do pre-employment background checks take?

I'm not sure if I'm just being impatient but two weeks seems like a long time to me, and I have no criminal history.

All depends how back logged the states department is. So don't worry if you know you don't have a criminal history than your good! Like I said it could be taking a little bit longer because of the states department.
