Is Bacterial Vaginosis coded as N76.0 & A49.9?

I'd go with the N code

Vaginosis - see Vaginitis

Vaginitis > Bacterial > N76.0

A49 series is unspecified site and you know the site just not the bacteria.

Also if you look A49.- excludes1 bacterial agents as the cause of diseases classified elsewhere (B95-B96)

You will need to know the bacteria to code any more specific
