Battery Swap on a SCS placement-CPT 63685 VS 63688

Hello, we have a Dr. that needs to replace two leads and one battery for an SCS implantation patient. We got approval from Fidelis for CPT 63663x2 for replacing the two leads but Fidelis denies 63685 for battery replacement stating that is the incorrect CPT. We have reviewed and think CPT 63668 might be correct but MD is adamant that it should be 63685 since he is only removing the battery, not revising everything? So, then I think removing battery would be inclusive. Anyone have any experience getting 63688 approved with 63663, or 63685 approved with 63663? Thank you.
