Is anyone having issues with not being able to submit claims through BCBS for plans that BCBS administers for Group Administrator if your clearinghouse is Emdeon?

We have been told by BCBS that the claims should be submitted to Emdeon with payer ID SB851. However, Emdeon doesn't have this payer ID set up, and has told use they do not plan on setting it up any time soon. We cannot submit through Availity, which was recommended, because those claims error out. When we submit electronically through our local BCBS those claims error out as well.

1st verify the submitter ID number on the back of the card. I believe that if you are filing through Emdeon it is SB850 & if you go through Availity, it is 00851. If your batches continue to error out, I would suggest calling Availity support. It could be something isn't set up right. That's all I got, hope it is helpful.
