If a single dose vial of BCG is administered and shared between three patients is this fraud? The provider's only documentation is 50 ml bottle shared with three different accounts. The coder has assumed to take 50 divided by 3 to get the actual units to bill. My first thought. There is not sufficient documentation to bill a dosage. The provider should be queried, and my second thought is. It is fraud to administer a single dose vial amongst three different patients. Any advise on this situation?
