I am new to behavior health and I have been presented a question I don't even know where to begin to help so I am hoping someone here can help me out. I have therapist's doing intake visits due to client thinking they have depression or anxiety but the therapist do not really believe they fall into the either of those categories. What is a good way to dx the client that is billable?

All I can say is that you would only be able to code what they provide for a diagnosis.

If they are only providing symptoms (insomnia, chest pain, fatigue, not eating, etc) then thats all you would be able to code without an actual diagnosis for anxiety or depression.
