Wiki Behavioral Health Billing for LSW - Incident To

Hi! I am new to behavioral health billing and have been looking for some guidance on billing LSW's incident to a LCSW. If incident to guidelines are being met, (LCSW has to have the initial visit with the patient, create treatment plan, etc.) does Medicare accept an LSW incident to a LCSW?

Also, If a LCSW isn't credentialed with a specific insurance (say Anthem), can they bill incident to another LCSW that is credentialed with Anthem?

Yes, because the claim is billed using the Incident to providers information. The claim will look like the incident to provider has rendered the services.
