Behavioral Health Warm Handoff

How do other offices handle warm handoff's from provider to LCSW? Is this a service that you are billing for if the LCSW is with the patient/family for more than 16 minutes or is this just handled as a meet and greet. If billing are you billing for the 90791 psychiatric diagnostic eval or the 90832 psychotherapy 30 minutes with patient. Any insight on this would be greatly appreciated!
 
Our office does warm handoff's from the Medical Provider to the Behavioral Health Provider. The CPT is determine by the clinician and their documentation and time. They do have a non- billable code we created for them (BHNB) for those patient's that do not meet the 16 minute rule and then we have a "introduction code" (BHINT). These codes are not billed out, they are for tracking purposes only.
