Hello All,
I have a question about billing bilateral C-arm fluoroscopy if anybody has knowledge about getting this paid.

The patient had a RT Carpal Tunnel Release, Bilateral first CMC injections
and use of fluoroscopy.
Postoperative Diagnoses: 354.0, 715.14(bilateral CMC joint)

Here is a brief description of procedure:

The right carpal tunnel was injected with 1% Lidocaine with epinephrine and 0.25% Marcaine. 10 cc was injected superficial to the carpal tunnel. I then brought in fluoroscopy and injected the right first CMC joint under the guidance of fluoroscopy. One cc of 1% lidocaine and betamethasone was injected into the hand. It was a 50:50 mixture. The left hand was then brought in, and under C-arm guidance, I injected left first CMC joint. The left side was injected with 1cc of a 50:50 mix of 1% lidocaine and betamethasone...(then goes on the describe the carpal tunnel release).
Medicare paid everything except the 77002-2659LT due to MEU kicking it out. My question is, do I appeal this left side use of fluoroscopy or no? Has anyone been successful in appealing these denials?
I can post more information pertaining to these procedures if necessary. Thank you for your time.
