Wiki Bilateral Inguinal Herina repair

Hello, I have a question, one of my general surgeons performed a bilateral inguinal hernia repair, the left side however was both direct and indirect,right side only indirect, i am not sure if using a 49505 and 49525 on the left and 49525 on the right would be correct? any comments would be appreciated.

Direct or indirect doesn't have anything to do with it being sliding. A sliding inguinal hernia can be either or both. If the note doesn't state that it is a sliding inguinal hernia I would use 49505-50.
