How can I go about obtaining a NUBC - national uniform billing committee bill type guide/description for UB04s? Any guidance on this is much appreciated.

The official guide to the UB04 manual is published by the National Uniform Billing Committee and unfortunately is under copyright so you will need to subscribe or purchase it. You can find more information on their web site here: https://www.nubc.org/

If you're billing for a facility, then the organization you work for should have this available to you, and some encoders include this in their reference libraries or as an add-on, so you might check your facility's resources to see if you already have access to it. If you need a free reference, I'd suggest looking at your payers' web sites, as some of them may publish their own guidance on UB04 billing which might be sufficient for your needs.
